Police appealing for information after a body of a 42-year-old woman was found in water at Woy Woy on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to Spike Milligan Bridge on Blackwall Road at around 2.10pm yesterday, following reports a body had been spotted in the mangroves by a passer-by.
Her bike was found 250 metres south of the bridge.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are appealing for anyone who was riding or walking along the cycleway and noticed the woman on a purple bike, or has dashcam vision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
