Central Coast Council has confirmed that it’s annual Love Lanes Festival will not return in 2021.
Held annually in the week before Valentine’s Day, the festival sees the Wyong business community come together to transform the CBD into four bustling laneways, filled with retail, dining and live entertainment, but according to a council spokesperson COVID-19 restrictions made the festival untenable this year.
“Council’s Love Lanes Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year, with our 2019 event drawing over 15,000 festival goers to Wyong’s laneways throughout the event.
“Council explored opportunities to hold a Love Lanes event in 2021 in some capacity, however due to current COVID-19 restrictions, it was not feasible to do this safely.
“In the interests of public safety, a decision has been made to defer the event until next year,” the spokesperson said.
