The Freemason Central Coast Lodge is on track to reach its goal of raising $10,000 for Central Coast ARAFMI, a mental health organisation based on the Central Coast.
One part of their fundraising efforts included a recent sausage sizzle at Bunnings West Gosford which raised $4,000.
With locations at Narara, Kincumber and Bateau Bay, Central Coast ARAFMI started as a social space in Kincumber especially for people impacted by mental ill health.
Created by families and loved ones, this was the first space on the Central Coast exclusively dedicated to whole families impacted by mental health issues.
Despite the weather not being the best on the day, there was a continuous line of people awaiting their Bunnings treat of bread and meat.
“The event was a great success and to date we have raised over $4,000 for Central Coast ARAFMI through various fundraisers which we hope will continue to grow,” Freemason Alex Mountain said.
“With the generous support of Freemasons on the Central Coast who donated $1,000 to cover expenses, such as purchasing the goods for the event, and with the kind assistance from MasoniCare, the Grand Lodge Charity, we will shortly reach our goal to raise $10,000 for Central Coast ARAFMI.”
