I have read that we need more homes for people to live in.
So I ask why are there 164,000 homes not occupied in the Sydney and Newcastle basin?
It doesn’t make sense that more have to be built when so many are not being used.
There must be a public and I mean “public” inquiry into this anomaly.

$5 says holiday houses are a substantial chunk of that. While we’re in a severe housing shortage, we ought to add taxes for anyone who leaves a house unoccupied for 11 months of the year
I must say that you have made a good point and totally agree.
I would support this, but I think it’s wrong to say we shouldn’t build more housing anyways. Areas like Gosford and Wyong should have more apartments near their main streets, as this allows people to not be reliant on their cars to get around (which could in turn reduce Council’s road maintenance costs, which are beyond problematic)

Excellent work Robert, it’s one of many anomalous things that seem to be rampant throughout this area… i wonder how many people have possibly passed away or disappeared from some of these homes? I’ve noticed many NDIS support agencies have not bothered checking on residents near me and inquired why they’re unable to pay their overdue accounts, despite no care being given, due to the fact that they have actually been dead for several months… HOMES NSW/LAHC sent several eviction threats (over a $30 water bill) to the former tenant of my unit, and she’d actually not been alive here for several months at least…
