The Central Coast Mariners have appointed Greg Brownlow as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Brownlow arrived at the Mariners in January, initially joining the club as its General Manager of Operations.
Over the past four months, he has run the day-to-day workings of the club in that position, with his appointment as CEO being officially announced at the 24/25 Mariners Medal Dinner on Monday night, May 5.
Brownlow is also the Business and Strategic Partnerships Manager at Central Coast Sports College, a role he has held since it was established in 2013.
He has played a fundamental role in the success of the College, which now educates more than 1,000 student athletes, including numerous current Mariners.
Brownlow holds a position on the Board of the Gosford Erina Business Chamber and has a number of pre-existing relationships with local businesses.
He also has a close connection to football on the Central Coast, currently serving as President of Berkeley Vale SC.
Brownlow will continue to maintain his current position at the Central Coast Sports College, alongside his role as CEO at the Mariners.
His appointment as GM of Operations earlier this year allowed further collaboration between the Mariners and Central Coast Sports College, something which Brownlow will continue to grow and develop in his role as CEO.
Mariners players who are either current or former CCSC student athletes include but are not limited to, Haine Eames, Arthur De Lima, Dylan Peraic-Cullen and Annalise Rasmussen.
“I am incredibly excited to be named as the CEO of this great club, it is truly an honour,” Brownlow said.
“The Mariners are such a big part of the Central Coast community, and the region is at the heart of who we are as a club.
“This is something that we want to continue to grow.
“I am eager to work with the great people at this club to help drive the Mariners forward.
“One of my main ambitions is to ensure that we continue to connect with our incredible community, we want everyone in the region to be fans and be a part of the Mariners Family.”
Meanwhile, David Slade has been appointed as the club’s Co-Chairman in a voluntary capacity, where he will be working closely with Mike Charlesworth.
