Marine Rescue came to the rescue of a young man struggling in a small runabout on Wednesday, January 8.
He was found battling wild southerly conditions on Brisbane Water on Wednesday afternoon by Marine Rescue Central Coast volunteers travelling aboard Central Coast 21 rescue vessel.
CC21 was on patrol before returning to the Point Clare base when the tinnie was observed in difficulties trying to overcome the strong winds and high waves.
There was one person on board, attempting to return to his home on St Hubert’s Island.
The Marine Rescue craft escorted the vessel back to the island with the tinnie following in CC21’s slipstream, before the young skipper reached calmer waters in Lintern Channel.
