David Abrahams’ cosy editorial (CCN453) confirms the only beneficiaries of the (council) amalgamation and dismissal were successive administrators and their acolytes.
We ratepayers were duped.
I believe we should never forget who brought on this disaster, decreed it and supported it.
I commend those who have nominated for election in September and hope they will be honest with their motives and who is supporting them.
I despair that local government has become so party political, but at least we know of political parties and their agendas.
Just how “independent” are Independents and those with warm, fuzzy names who previously were party members?
Further, I congratulate all at CCN for their coverage of local events, and wonder if more space can be made available for readers’ opinions.
