Terrigal residents will benefit from improved network coverage and increased network capacity with Optus switching on four new small cell mobile sites just in time for the school holidays.
The small cells, located across the suburb, will provide enhanced Optus mobile connectivity, improve and expand coverage and increase network capacity and mobile data speeds.
The small cell mobile installations are the 23rd site that Optus has switched on in the Robertson federal electorate since 2019.
Optus Local General Manager Chris Simon said residents and tourists would notice improvement in the Optus mobile network.
“These small cell installations are essential for Terrigal residents and visitors who require a robust and adaptable network with reliable mobile connectivity,” he said.
“Terrigal is a popular tourist destination that experiences a significant influx of visitors during holiday periods.
“We are pleased to be able to improve the capacity and reliable connectivity to better handle the increased customer load.
“As we roll out our network, we know customers want and need fast download speeds and reliable connectivity whether at home, work, or on the go.”
The investment to expand Optus’ telecommunications infrastructure and mobile coverage is part of an ongoing project to improve range, reliability, and speed across the Optus mobile network.
