Kariong service station affray

Police have charged two men following an altercation at a service
station in Kariong on Friday, August 1.

 

Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Kariong just after 7pm where they found two men injured.

The men, aged 27 and 24, were taken to Gosford Hospital with head lacerations.

It is believed the men, both from the Central Coast, were involved in an altercation after being driven to the service station by another man.

Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene

. A ratchet, allegedly used in the fi ght, was seized.

The older man required stitches while the other man refused treatment at the hospital.

Both were subsequently arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station where they have since been charged with affray.

They were granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on August 19.
