Filming woman without consent

A Hamlyn Terrace man will face court charged with allegedly filming a woman without consent on the Central Coast.

On Wednesday, May 14 police began an investigation following reports a man allegedly filmed a woman without consent in the bathroom of a fast-food outlet in Lake Haven.

Following extensive inquiries by Tuggerah Lakes detectives, officers attended a home at Hamlyn Terrace on Thursday, May 22.

When a search warrant was executed at the home, police allegedly located and seized clothing, cannabis and electronics, which will undergo further examination.

Officers arrested a 26-year-old man and took him to Wyong Police Station where he was charged on four counts of peep or pry, intentionally record intimate image without consent etc, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction, and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear before Wyong Local Court.
