Boost in firefighter ranks

Wyong Fire and Rescue NSW

Six more firefighters have joined the ranks of Fire and Rescue NSW on the Central Coast.

The on-call firefighters were among the 169 recruits who officially graduated at a ceremony on Friday, April 4, at the Emergency Services Academy at Orchard Hills, a western Sydney suburb.

Three of the new recruits will be based at Wyong fire station, two at Terrigal and one will go to Saratoga fire station.

Minister for Emergency Services Jihad Dib said he had no doubt the new recruits would create positive impacts in their communities for many years to come.
