Man dies at Terrigal Beach

A man died at Terrigal Beach on Wednesday, February 5.

At about 8.20am, emergency services were called to the Beach following reports a man had been pulled from the water unconscious.

Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District, NSW Ambulance and Surf Life Saving NSW responded.

CPR was performed on the man – believed to be aged in his 70s – but he couldn’t be revived.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

  1. In relation to my last posts, I have just spoken to the police and they confirmed to me that the guy I saw on the SUP frantically waving for help, was not the actual person who died. He had simply came across the deceased who was found in the water. From the angle of my view, I could not see the deceased until he was placed on the board by the rescuer.
    My apologies for any incorrect information passed on by myself, and I would request that the Coast News removes my incorrect post.
