Such worthy constructive comment on retaining our iconic Gosford Library in Kibble Park.
With the frantic building madness happening in central Gosford and everything swept in its path there is no time for conscientious thought of our city’s architectural history or past, and we see a number of new high rise developments stalled because of administrative haste, poor supervision and financial mismanagement.
The new highrises in Gosford ignore the human scale, and follow in the steps of cities whose hasty development only lead to deterioration of the city’s character and quality of life.
As a lifetime architectural sketcher Gosford I see Gosford losing its respect for worthy older and often Heritage listed buildings in a bid for flash in the pan style,development and planning lacking long term vision.

But it doesn’t have a baby changing facility, which is a total pain in the backside, excuse the pun, if you are a rate payer needing to change a nappy and it’s pouring down outside. It’s a concrete monstrosity from another era.
