A man will face court today (December 30) after a shot was fired at a property in Gosford on Sunday, December 29.
Police were called to a unit on Gertrude Street about 6.30pm on Sunday, following reports of a gunshot.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District and specialist police attended the scene and established a perimeter.
Shortly before 8pm, officers entered the unit where they arrested a 56-year-old man.
He was taken to Gosford Police Station while a crime scene was established at the home.
Police seized a double-barrel shotgun, ammunition and a machete, all of which will be subject to further examination.
He was arrested and will face court today in Gosford.
