Gosford comes alive with music

The Jungle Giants will headline at Drifters Wharf on November 1

Last year’s inaugural Tubular Festival will return this year in the form of Gossy Weekender.

The revamped live music will will run from Friday to Sunday, November 1-3, at venues around the Gosford precinct.

It marks an evolution in entertainment, driven by key projects like the NSW Government’s 24-hour economy, which has seen Gosford recognised as an approved Live Music Precinct.

The initiative is further bolstered by Live & Local, delivered by Central Coast Council, Destination Central Coast, the Live Music Office, and APRA AMCOS.

Gossy Weekender promises three days of live music across 20 venues in Gosford’s newly established live music precinct.

With more than 80 musicians and bands scheduled to perform, the festival will showcase a dynamic mix of high-profile national and interstate acts, with the marquee first night event headlined by The Jungle Giants at Drifters Wharf with support from The Moving Stills and Elaskia.

Death By Denim, Molly Millington, Mia Lovelock and True Vibe Sound System, alongside a stack of emerging and local talent will also be on display across various venues.

A key feature of Gossy Weekender will be a family-friendly activation at Kibble Park, offering live performances by Vegetable Plot, Punk Rock Silly Billies and True Vibe Sound System.

The day will also include markets, children’s activities, and a vibrant outdoor atmosphere.

The Live & Local program as part of Gossy Weekender will also highlight the talent of local artists through a special series of live performances on Friday evening and Saturday, further showcasing the Central Coast’s rich and diverse musical landscape.

  1. There is nowhere where one can find what is on at local pubs and clubs at any given time, particularly Fridays, saturdays and sundays. Long Jetty Hotel says they have Live entertainment on Saturdays and Sundays, but doesn’t say what they are????? This has lead me to believe that the Central Coast is a black hole for entertainment choice. Also everything seems to close down after 9.00 pm ….there is nowhere to get food after 9.00pm….it is dead as a doornail. The OAP capital of NSW.
