Central Coast Mariners forward Dylan Wenzel-Halls will leave the club to pursue overseas footballing opportunities.

The 26-year-old joined the Mariners midway through the 22/23 Isuzu UTE A-League season and was a part of the 18-man grand final squad that defeated Melbourne City 6-1.

At the start of the club’s treble-winning 23/24 season, Wenzel-Halls netted the first goal in head coach Mark Jackson’s era at the Mariners as he opened the scoring in the record-breaking 9-1 win over Stallion Laguna.

In his 18-month spell on the Coast, Wenzel-Halls made 12 appearances and scored three goals, while winning four trophies at the club.

Jackson thanked Wenzell-Halls for his contributions and his exemplary attitude.

“We’d like to thank Dylan for his contribution to the club,” Jackson said.

“He showed an exemplary attitude in all the work he did, particularly last season as part of the treble winning squad.

“Everyone at the club wishes him all the best for the future.”

Wenzell-Halls said he would cherish his ‘unbelievable’ memories at the Mariners.

“I would like to thank the Mariners fans, players and staff for all of the support across the past two years,” he said.

“I have made unbelievable memories and friendships at this club, and I am appreciative of all my time spent on the Central Coast, most notably being a part of the treble-winning season which was an incredible achievement that I will always cherish.

“I wish the club and the fans all the best going forward.”
