The Central Coast Mariners have confirmed the departure of Jing Reec, who at the completion of his loan now returns to parent club Aarhus GF in Denmark.
Having initially made his professional debut for the Mariners in 2021 during his first stint with the club, Reec returned to the Mariners on loan at the beginning of this season.
The forward started his first game back, an Australia Cup tie against Sydney FC, before going on to make a further 28 appearances for the club, helping it win the historic treble.
The 20-year-old scored four goals across the campaign, with arguably the most memorable being an 89th minute equaliser against Melbourne Victory in Unite Round.
He also found the back of the net in the Mariners’ first league victory of the season against Newcastle in the F3 Derby, as well as against Adelaide away and Phnom Penh Crown in the AFC Cup Zonal Semi Final.
Reec now returns to Denmark having played an important role, with Mariners Head Coach Mark Jackson thanking him for his contributions to the club and wishing him the best for the future.
“Jing has been a massive part of what we have achieved this season and has contributed greatly to the club’s success,” Jackson said.
“He is a fantastic player who we have been very lucky to have had with us on loan.
“He has shown great desire to learn and get better and is a really talented young player.
“If someone like Jing becomes available in the future, he is somebody that I would love to work with again.
“Everyone wishes him all the best back with his parent club in Denmark.”
