The second leg of the A-League semi-final between the Central Coast Mariners and Sydney FC has been sold out, the first time for over a decade for an A-league match.
The Mariners go into the match with an advantage, having won the first leg of the semi-final 2-1 in Sydney last weekend, May 11.
A full capacity crowd of just over 20,000 fans will stream into Gosford’s Industree Group Stadium on Saturday evening, May 18, creating a football atmosphere few have experienced outside a capital city.
The team has the advantage going into the match and Mariners Academy product and key player Dan Hall said at a press conference this week that the team is aiming to secure another outright victory in front of a full house.
The current Mariners team have swept all before them this season; winning the A-League’s Premiership plate, as top team at the end the regular season, and also winning the AFC Cup against the best club teams in Asia.
