A home grand final in Gosford is now a distinct possibility, something that would undoubtedly lead to a massive sell out crowd.

The Central Coast Mariners, in collaboration with the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), have confirmed that if the Mariners advance to the 2024 Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final, the match will be held at Gosford’s Industree Group Stadium, marking the venue’s debut as a Grand Final host.

The Mariners face a challenging path through the semi-finals where they will meet Sydney FC in a two-legged home and away showdown.

With Friday night’s hard fought 2-1 win against Sydney FC in Sydney the Mariners are now in a commanding position to win the semi final on aggregate.

The outcome of the second leg of the semi-final series will be decided on Saturday May 18, at 7.45 pm in Gosford’s Industree Group Stadium.

Should the Mariners succeed, they will host the Grand Final on May 25 at 7.45pm AEST in Gosford, with their opponents being either Wellington Phoenix or Melbourne Victory.

The club is reminding fans they still have an opportunity to support the Mariners live with tickets still available; they can be purchased online, along with seats on the supporter’s bus.

The home and away matches will determine whether the Mariners or Sydney FC will move forward to compete in the Grand Final, promising an intense battle as the Mariners aim to capitalise on their home ground advantage in the final.

Should the Mariners beat Sydneyon aggregate , which is definitively possible given the team’s remarkable form this year, the Grand Final will be held on the Central Coast.

Should this occur, it will be the first time the region has hosted a national grand final in a professional sporting code, something that will have the eyes of the nation firmly focused on the region.
