Time is running out for residents to nominate an outstanding individual or community group for a Central Coast Council Australia Day Award.
Award categories include: Community Group – recognises the important and inspirational work of a community organisation, in community services, wellbeing and community safety; Community Life – recognises an individual person that has made a valuable contribution to the community through the fields of sports, arts, culture or environment; Volunteer – an individual volunteer who has made a significant long-term commitment to volunteer work within the community in a non-paid capacity; Young Person – recognises the outstanding contributions of an individual person aged 25 or under who has made a significant contribution to the community; and Senior Citizen – recognises the outstanding contributions of an individual person aged 60 or over who has made a significant contribution to the community.
Winners in each category will go into the running to be named Central Coast Citizen of the Year.
Nominations close at 5pm on Sunday, September 24 on the Central Coast Council website.
