The Central Coast NAIDOC Community Day returns planned for July 5 at The Entertainment Grounds has been postponed, as a result of the predicted weather for the region in the coming days.
Excitement was high for the event to return after being cancelled for the past two years because of COVID-19, but Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) made the call on July 1.
“The safety of our community, staff and organisations attending is our top priority,” a spokesperson said.
“The team at Nunyara is planning to reschedule this important community event later in the year.”
The free family event was to be hosted by CCLHD’s Nunyara Aboriginal Health Unit.
