An exhibition of some of the best artworks by the Central Coast’s secondary public school students is now on show at the Gosford Regional Gallery.

A Central Vision features works by the cream of the region’s artistic talents.

Gallery Director, Tim Braham, said the gallery had partnered with the NSW Department omf Education to present the artworks.

“This annual exhibition has been a mainstay of our program for over 20 years,” Braham said.

“During this time an enormous number of talented artists have been part of the program.

“Seventy artworks were selected from the 14 participating schools.

“Student works were nominated by their schools for consideration and then selected by a panel.

“The artworks represent students from all stages engaging in a variety of media.

“Our thanks to the Central Coast Secondary Principals Council, (which has) supported this exhibition, Les Brimbecom from Northlakes High School for coordinating the exhibition and to the other teachers who have assisted in the selection of works and the creation of the catalogue.

“We acknowledge the ongoing support of the sponsors and their generous donation of prizes for the various awards.”

Patrons will be invited to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award.

Artworks by students from Years 7-10 are in the Community Gallery and will be on show until April 10.

Artworks by Year 11 and Year 12 students will be in the Foyer Gallery until April 24.
