Local aged care organisation, BlueWave Living, was delighted to receive a donation of $1,000 thanks to a joint contribution from Rotary Clubs across the Peninsula.

Clubs from Umina Beach, Woy Woy and Brisbane Water teamed up to raise funds for the aged care facility in a first for all three clubs to support a common community project.

President of Umina Beach Rotary Club, Bruce Croft, made the presentation on behalf of the three Clubs.

Chairman of BlueWave Living, Ross Pearce, said the donation would be used by the Leisure and Lifestyle team to provide entertainment for residents.

“The money will benefit all the residents of BlueWave Living as it will be used to provide entertainment for the residents who so badly need it after the prolonged COVID lockdown,” he said.
