Berkeley Vale Fire Brigade has issued a caution about damaged access stairs to Shelly Beach.
The brigade was called to the area following reports of a fire at the beach access north of Blue Lagoon Beach Resort.
The fire damaged some of the access stairs and beachgoers are cautioned to take care if using that access point.
