Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School at Shelly Beach is one of 1,600 primary schools and early learning centres across Australia to receive a 2021 Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant.
The school was awarded $1,000 to fund a program focussed on sustainable food production.
Woolworths Junior Landcare projects focus on improving waste management practices, sustainable food production, or enhancing native habitats such as vegetable gardens, recycling initiatives and native habitat enhancement and indigenous perspectives.
Bateau Bay Woolworths Manager, Matt Cronan, presented the grant certificate to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School.
