Lisarow hydroponic cannabis cultivation uncovered

Double demerits come into force on April 24

Two people have been charged after Police located a hydroponic set-up during a search warrant at Lisarow on Thursday, June 17.

About 7.30am, officers attached to the Brisbane Water Proactive Crime Team executed a search warrant at a house on The Ridgeway.

While searching a large shed on the property, Police allegedly located a purpose-built room housing hydroponically grown cannabis.

There were also three further rooms set-up and ready for cultivation.

Officers seized 36 plants.

A 41-year-old and a 31-year-old woman were arrested at the house and taken to Gosford Police Station.

The man was charged with cultivate cannabis, deal with proceeds of crime, possess prescribed restricted substance and possess prohibited weapon.

The woman was charged with cultivate cannabis.

They were both granted conditional bail to appear in Gosford Local Court in July.
