AstraZeneca Vaccine rollout temporarily paused

NSW Health has temporarily paused administering the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine across the Central Coast and NSW.

NSW Health says the pause is to allow sufficient time to ensure all participants getting the vaccine, and the staff administering it, are provided with the most up-to-date information.

The AstraZeneca vaccine rollout will recommence once the Commonwealth Department of Health updates this information.

This announcement comes after the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) updated their advice on the AstraZeneca vaccine on April 1.

Head to www.health.gov.au for information on this.

The Pfizer vaccine will continue to be administered as planned at NSW Health Clinics.

So far, more than 140,000 AstraZeneca vaccinations have delivered part of NSW Health’s COVID-19 vaccination rollout.
