A significant contribution to the pollution of Ettalong Beach is via the four storm water pipes between Ferry Rd and Picnic Pde.
The storm water pipes have no collection pits to capture sediment, heavy metals oils and nutrients from hard run off surfaces.
Until collection pits are installed at Ettalong Beach, dangerous pollutants from the storm water pipes will always be a potential hazard to bathers.
