Stabbing at Wyong resort

A man has been charged over an alleged stabbing at Wyong.

At about 2.10pm on Tuesday, January 5, emergency services were called to a resort on Boyce Ave, following reports that a man had been stabbed several times.

A 64-year-old man was taken to John Hunter Hospital for treatment to stab wounds to his stomach.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene.

Following inquiries, three men, aged 38, 45 and 56, were arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station shortly before 6pm the same day.

The youngest man was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and special aggravated enter dwelling with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court.

The other two men were released pending further inquiries.

Investigations remain ongoing.
