A man has been charged after an alleged armed robbery at Wyong.
Police have been told that at about 4.30pm on Wednesday, January 20, a man entered a variety store within a shopping centre on Alison Rd and allegedly threatened an employee, a 25-year-old woman, with a knife.
The man allegedly took money from the cash register before fleeing the store towards Wyong Train Station.
Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended the station and arrested a 49-year-old man following a short foot pursuit.
He was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court.
