Central Coast resident tested positive for COVID-19

A Central Coast resident returning from overseas has tested positive for COVID-19 while in hotel quarantine in Sydney.

The resident has been in isolation in the quarantine hotel since arriving in Australia.

The person will be released from isolation once health staff confirm that the infection has cleared.

NSW Health staff are undertaking daily wellness checks while the person is in hotel quarantine and they are doing well. This case has no close contacts and does not present any ongoing risk to the community.
