Central Coast preschools can apply now for a share of $10M from the NSW Government’s Start Strong Capital Works Grants program.
Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal, Adam Crouch, said the funding is targeted at creating new places in preschools for children on waiting lists.
“This funding will ensure even more children can have access to 600 hours of quality early childhood education in the year before school,” Crouch said.
“Equipping children with the social, cognitive and emotional skills before they transition to school is incredibly important to their overall development as well as their school performance.
“That’s why the NSW Government is providing $10M this year alone through the Start Strong Capital Works Grants program and I would encourage community preschools on the Central Coast to consider applying for a share of the funding,” Crouch said.
Funding is available for: Construction of a new centre-based community preschool facility, extending an existing centre-based community preschool facility, renovating existing or new premises for a centre-based preschool, purchase of replacement vehicles for existing mobile preschools and responding to crisis situations.
Applications can be submitted via the NSW Government’s website until August 23.
