Stop overdevelopment on the waterfront

Letters to the editor

[Forum] Why doesn’t Central Coast Council and the State Government use a little future planning and build a multi-story car park over the existing railway line airspace between the existing Gosford Rail Station and Etna St?

The track is straight and surely Gosford will develop north of the existing CBD in the future instead of just going high rise on the waterfront.

Many years ago, St Leonards Rail Station was relocated on the other side of the Pacific Hwy when they built a multi-purpose development that serviced a new station, retail, commercial and residential complex over the existing rail tracks.

Please stop the over development of the waterfront.

As it is now, all unlimited time parking near the waterfront is used by workers and very limited spaces available for casual use by weekday visitors.
