A man has been charged after he allegedly stabbed another man at Empire Bay.
At about 7pm on Monday, June 22, police from Brisbane Water Police District attended Gosford Hospital after receiving information a 49-year-old man had presented with a stab wound to his chest.
Police have been told the injured man attended a house in Kendall Rd, Empire Bay, earlier in the evening to speak to the occupants about their dog.
The 49-year-old man became involved in a verbal altercation with the 32-year-old male resident and the older man was asked to leave.
It is further alleged the younger man armed himself with a knife – threatening the older man – while swinging the knife around.
The 49-year-old man received a wound to his chest and was assisted home by a witness before attending Gosford Hospital for treatment and has been discharged.
Police attended Kendall Rd and a crime scene was established.
The 32-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station.
He has been charged with wound with intent and refused bail.
