Shots fired at San Remo

Police are investigating a public place shooting that occurred in San Remo.

At about 6:15am on Wednesday, March 11, officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District were called to Emu Dve, following reports of shots fired.

Police have been told that two vehicles were seen travelling south along Emu Dve when an unknown male approached the second vehicle and discharged a weapon.

Both vehicles left the scene at speed, headed north, a short time later.

A nearby vehicle sustained minor damage.

Detectives from Tuggerah Lakes PD attended and established a crime scene.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything suspicious between 5am and 6:30am in San Remo, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage.
