[Gosford, Sunday] Broad scale power outages have been rolling out across the Central Coast on Sunday as a result of strong winds and heavy rainfall.

The wild weather has damaged power lines and infrastructure on a large scale, challenging repair crews across Sydney, The Hunter and Central Coast regions.

Ausgrid have a live website that details the status of power outages and estimated repair times. Find that site here: AusGrid.com.au

Ausgrid are responding as best they can though some areas such as Mardi and MacMasters Beach have no estimated re-connection times as this is being published.

Local emergency services have responded to dozens of calls for assistance across the region. Services are urging people not to drive through flood water, as services have been delayed by assisting people from cars when more pressing issues are at hand.

Residents and visitors are urged to exercise caution when driving and report any fallen power lines.

According the Bureau of Meteorology 80mm of rain fell in the 6 hours between 09.00 and 15.00 on Sunday in Gosford. 62mm at Mangrove Mountain & 52mm at Norah Head during the same period.
