The Gosford Animal Referral Hospital has put the call out for blood donations.
A spokesperson for the hospital said that they were in urgent need of canine blood donors after a power outage saw their blood bank’s temperature control fail.
“Sadly, due to our loss of power over the weekend of February 1-2, we have lost all our priceless donor blood.
“We are back in our beautiful Greencross Vets building now after our four day hiatus and we urgently need to find blood donors.
“If you have a young, calm and healthy large breed dog (over 30kgs), please contact the Animal Referral Hospital Gosford,” the spokesperson said.
