Council’s Mangrove Mountain and Spencer Advisory Committee has resolved to ask Central Coast Council staff to write to the NSW EPA requesting increased monitoring of surface and groundwater quality at the Mangrove Mountain landfill site.
Councillors adopted the recommendation when they met on July 23.
The EPA will also be asked to provide a copy of the Follow Up Independent Environmental Report that was completed in 2017.
Water quality data from the Mangrove Mountain Landfill site has also been requested from Council as a result of a request from the committee.
The EPA has also been asked for clarification as to the determination of the Environmental Risk Assessment for Mangrove Mountain Landfill and any changes in the determination.
