The Department of Education Secretary, Mark Scott, has congratulated nine Central Coast high school graduates who will have their Higher School Certificate artwork included in the ARTEXPRESS exhibition at the Gosford Regional Gallery, which opens on Friday, July 20.

The Central Coast will be represented at the exhibition by: Gosford High School’s Ryan Sang-Hyeon Lee, Ellora Srivastava and Jade Jiang; Terrigal High School’s Georgia Olivia Green and Amellia Fraser-Watson; Henry Kendall High School’s Danielle Guyot and Mikhail Volkov; Belinda Prior de Heer from Kincumber High School; and, Kayleigh Michelle from Lake Munmorah High School. Most of the works have been or will be shown in at least one of the ARTEXPRESS exhibitions. “ARTEXPRESS showcases some of the best artworks presented for assessment by HSC Visual Arts students,” Scott said. “It is a tribute to the creativity, ingenuity, imagination and flair of our emerging young artists and the guidance and motivation provided by dedicated art teachers in our public schools. “To have an artwork chosen for ARTEXPRESS is an immense honour,” he added. ARTEXPRESS exhibitions are staged throughout the year across the metropolitan area and in regional NSW.
