Primary School students from across the Central Coast are preparing for the Somersby Scamper School Cup. Somersby Scamper Cross Country Fun Run is a free family event held at Somersby Public School on April 29.

The Fun Run aims to connect local families and get mum, dad and the kids outdoors and exercising. The School Cup is a special event open to all Primary Schools on the Coast. Students compete in teams of three and their scores are tallied based on their individual placement in the race.

Their finishing place will be added together with that of the other two student’s place result from their school. The School whose first three place getters add up to the lowest total will be crowned the Somersby Scamper Schools Cup Champion. Primary School teams can enter as many students as they want, but only the first three from each school across the line will count towards the overall score. There is also a 6km event as well.
