Wyong Toastmasters Club member, Ms Prema D’Cruz, won the Eastern Division International Speech Contest.
Ms D’Cruz competed against five other speakers from the Central Coast and the Hunter, and now moves to the next level, District 90.
If successful, she will go to the States for the finals.
“Wyong Toastmasters Club is very proud of Prema and her success,” said the Club’s Vice President of Education, Ms Carol Williams.
“In her acceptance speech she said that ‘it was important to keep trying, she had been a ‘bridesmaid’ on three previous occasions, but now she is the bride”.
“Our best wishes go with her when she attends the District 90 contest at Rooty Hill in May,” Ms Williams said.
