Four injured by explosion

Investigations are underway following an explosion at a unit in East Gosford. At about 3 pm on Wednesday, March 7, emergency services were called to a residential unit on Albany St, East Gosford, following reports of an explosion.

Fire-fighters extinguished the blaze. Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and established a crime scene. Two men aged 23 and 25 sustained serious burns and were taken to Gosford Hospital where they remain in a serious condition. A 25-year-old man and an 11-month-old boy sustained minor injuries and were also taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment. The cause of the explosion is yet to be determined.
