Australia Day Eve at Canton Beach

On Thursday 25th January 2018 you can Sing your heart out along to Aussie tunes on this GREAT Australia Day Eve.

Join in on the Thong Throwing and Lamington Making competition along with live entertainment from U B Warned, Coopa Mac, and Aussie bush band, fun activities, amusement rides, hot food, cold slushies and sweet treats.

There are Prizes to be WON and FREE Pony Rides too! The celebrations conclude with a spectacular fireworks display over Tuggerah Lake at 9pm.  So bring along chairs, rugs and the family for all the fun and entertainment! Full info at this website.

Poetry and Flag Raising – Wagstaffe

The annual Australia Day community BBQ breakfast kicks off at 8am sharp at the village square Wagstaffe. The Council may have withdrawn their support of the event, though the show goes on. Poetry reading, flag raising, short speeches, song and sausages. Funds raised go to various community groups in the area. More information at Killcare to Wagstaffe Community Association

The Entrance Celebrations

Memorial Park at The Entrance comes alive from mid-day until 9pm after the fireworks display.

Enjoy an amazing musical line up on the main stage with headline act Ash Grunwald, while the kids splash around in the water park or enjoy amusement rides and activities. This year we are bringing a special native flower themed”Lawn Game Zone” for the whole family to enjoy!

The event will finish off at 9.00pm with a fireworks spectacular over the water. More details here.

Woy Woy Markets & Lantern Parade

An afternoon and evening of festivities will be organised by Central Coast Council on the Woy Woy waterfront to mark Australia Day 2018. More information here.

The events are scheduled to begin at 2pm on Friday, January 26. There will be an official Australia Day ceremony taking place at 3pm, followed by a performance by Central Coast family trio, Little Quirks. Features of the day are expected to include the lantern parade at 8:20pm which will begin at the CWA Hall and end at the tidal baths in Memorial Park.

Davistown

DAVISTOWN RSL CLUB: 2018
Join the family fun at the Davo for Australia Day!

A jumping castle and Waterslide for the Kids will be provided from 11:30am-3:30pm.
Live Entertainment by music duo Kuta Groove in the Davo’s backyard from 12-4pm.

Pearl Beach Races

PEARL BEACH: 2018
‘Pearl Beach Kids Races’  Registration from 8.15am, Races from 8.30am. Cost is free. Ages under 6 to 14 years, must be accompanied by an adult.

Woy Woy Little Theatre – ‘Australia Day’

Jonathon Biggins’ satirical comedy Australia Day will be performed at Peninsula Theatre by Woy Woy Little Theatre opening on Australia Day, January 26, for a three week season. Info and tickets at this website

Central Coast Australia Day Ambassador

Look out for one of Australia’s leading musicians and songwriters, Rod McCormack, he has been officially appointed as the Central Coast’s Australia Day Ambassador for 2018. Keep an eye out for Rod with wife Gina Jefferys at events around the Central Coast. Full story here.
