$25,000 top prize lay unscratched and unnoticed

A nice little surprise for one Central Coast woman

An Instant Scratch-Its ticket hiding a $25,000 top prize, lay unscratched and unnoticed in a Central Coast woman’s purse for weeks before she discovered the happy news for herself.
The woman originally bought the $2 Instant Scratch-Its ticket at Killarney Vale Newsagency.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official about her win, the happy winner described how she revealed her instant windfall one day at work.
“Oh my gosh, it just made my life,” she said.
“It’s come at an awesome time.
“I bought it ages ago and I was having morning tea at work, saw the ticket and scratched it.
“I went ‘nah, that can’t be right’.
“I didn’t tell anyone as I thought it was a lie.
“I just kept checking the ticket.
“I went to the newsagency and asked them to check it.
“They said I was a winner and I just started crying.
“I’ve never won anything in my life,” she said.
The winner plans to celebrate the windfall by dining out and having a wonderful Christmas with her family.
Killarney Vale Newsagency owner, Ms Karen Batman, said she was thrilled that one of her customers won a top prize.
“It’s been a while since we last sold a top-prize winning Instant Scratch-Its, so it’s great to see a win back in the store.”
