A man has been charged following the death of a woman in Umina in what was believed to be a domestic incident.
Emergency services were called to a home on Nowack Ave, Umina, just after 3pm on January 8, after concern was raised for a resident’s welfare. A 74-year-old woman was found deceased at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics. Officers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command attended and arrested a 76-year-old man, who taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with murder. He was refused bail and appeared at Gosford Local Court on January 9.
