I was interested in the two articles in Coast Community News on August 12, based on media releases from Gosford Council regarding sports ground improvements.
I am a resident of Kincumber and regularly walk across Frost Reserve and I am appalled at the condition of the field surface.
If this is the best the council or its contractors can achieve over an 18 month period, then someone should get the sack and if contracted out, the council should get its money back.
It would not be surprising if someone has had a serious injury due to the terrible way the ‘turf’ was laid, with gaps between the runs filled with sand.
There is no way football should have been played this year and certainly cricket is out of the question.
