Lisarow man arrested over serious assault in Terrigal

A man has been charged over an alleged assault at Terrigal on Saturday, April 25.

Shortly before 1am, emergency services were called to a car park on Ocean View Dr, Terrigal, after reports a man had been injured. Offi cers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command arrived to fi nd a 37-yearold man with serious head injuries. Police have been told two groups became involved in an altercation at the car park, during which the man was injured.

A crime scene was established at the location and officers spoke with numerous witnesses. The man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Terrigal Haven, where he was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital. He is being treated for a number of facial fractures and is reported to be in a serious but stable condition.

Following investigations, police arrested an 18-year-old man at Lisarow at about 10:30am. He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm. He was bail refused and appeared in Gosford Local Court on Sunday, April 26.
