Gosford Council has endorsed the preparation of a planning proposal that would see the site of the former sergeants’ residence and police station on the corner of Georgiana Terrace and Mann St in Gosford recognised as an archaeological heritage item.
This proposal would also see the footings of the old police stables in the same area recognised as a heritage item.
Council’s endorsement follows an archaeological assessment that identified the local heritage significance of both sites and the need to conserve them as part of any redevelopment of the former Gosford Public School site
