A free information session for new carers of people with mental health issues will be held at the Central Coast Leagues Club on Wednesday, June 11.
The session will be presented by the Central Coast Local Health District Mental Health Service and UnitingCare Mental Health. The evening will explore: recovery in a mental health context; the experience of carers and those living with mental illness; services available to families and carers of people living with a mental illness; and strategies and techniques for self-care. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and chat with all presenters and services at the conclusion of the program.
