North Gosford fire bugs sought

Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command are appealing for witnesses following a number of suspicious bush fires in the North Gosford/Wyoming areas in September.
Between 10:35pm on Tuesday, September 12 and 4:20pm on Wednesday, September 13, emergency services responded to several scrub fires, believed to be deliberately lit, in bushland at the eastern end of Plateau Rd, North Gosford.
Police are urging anyone with information about these fires to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page.
Information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
Police are also reminding people that they could face penalties if found responsible for the lighting of bushfires, accidental or otherwise, including not putting out a fire they have lit.
